A Wild Weekend: 2015 SEWE Recap

As you may know, Charleston was quite the zoo this past weekend. The 33rd Annual Southeastern Wildlife Exposition brought nearly 40,000 Lowcountry locals and out-of-towners together to celebrate the best of wildlife art and the sporting life.

From thrilling presentations including Living with Wolves and Birds of Prey demonstrations, to countless art exhibitions in nearly every nook of downtown, and the famous Dockdogs event at Brittlebank Park, SEWE provided entertainment for all ages.

This year, we were proud to team up with SEWE to provide “Signature SEWE Sandwiches” for the three-day event. We set up shop (er…kitchen) right in the middle of Marion Square and served the flock of attendees our signature chicken salad sandwiches, pimento cheese sandwiches and housemade chips.

Prep for the busy weekend began in our catering kitchen.

Customers were able to ‘try before you buy!’

Happy Hamby diners!

Our handcut chips were a huge hit!

We loved our new brown paper bag packaging. An homage to our classic recipes!

Lucky for us, we fed a ton of hungry animals and received rave reviews. We were thrilled to be included in SEWE’s catering line-up, and hope to be back to feed expo-goers next year.
