Christina joined Team Hamby in 2019 as Executive Pastry Chef after having served as Pastry Chef and Lead Cake Decorator/Baker for various retail and catering establishments in Charleston over the past twenty years. Her personal passion for healthy living has pushed her to acquire an impressive knowledge of functional medicine. This knowledge combined with time-tested talent, yields delicious gluten-free and plant based desserts that allow clients to follow various lifestyles while never sacrificing taste. She also produces the classic desserts like hummingbird, red velvet and carrot cake that will rival any dessert from your childhood.

From creating delectable desserts and pastries for the Market at Hamby, including custom occasion cakes, to seasonal desserts for Hamby’s full service events, Christina also brings a positive energy to Team Hamby that is contagious. She is always willing to help team members, and she’s a hit with clients at our offsite events.

Christina holds an associate degree in pastry arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition, she also has a business degree from the New England Culinary Institute and a degree from College of Charleston in Sports Nutrition and Culinary Arts. When she’s not at Hamby, Christina enjoys sharing her knowledge of healing the body through food with friends and family. She also volunteers with MUSC to help teach students how to cook healthy meals for their parents.
