Cory Winn

Cory was born and raised in Charlottesville, VA but was first exposed to the events industry at Elon University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality + Event Planning. She started her career at the Sanctuary Hotel when it first opened, moved on to then manage a private venue on Kiawah Island where she first worked alongside Hamby Catering 17 years ago. After Kiawah Cory then worked for a leading event planning firm in Charleston for several years which prepared her to launch her own high end planning firm that she loved and nurtured for 10 years. As a business owner she was able to continue building robust relationships with local vendors to include the Hamby Catering team. After planning several events for the Charleston Wine + Food Festival most recently, she connected with longtime friend Candice {Owner/President} and the rest is history. This was serendipity at its finest!

With 20 years of experience throughout all facets of event planning + design, we know she will shine as the Director of Sales managing and growing an already shining team. Cory has two girls, Caroline and Scotlyn, along with a one eyed yorkie named Tucker. When she isn’t working you can find her in spin class, reading about how the brain works, listening to jazz, or cooking for girlfriends.
