Gabriel Graves

Gabe brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry to Hamby Catering. He launched his career by taking on several managerial positions at restaurants and working his way through nearly all employment opportunities the industry offers. After filling various front of house roles, Gabe decided to follow his passion for cooking and moved to a new position in the kitchen. Although Gabe did not take the traditional route of formal culinary school, his incredible work ethic and dedication to his craft led to his success at several restaurants in the Charleston area. He started with Hamby Catering in March 2017, and after pursuing an entrepreneurial culinary venture, he officially rejoined Team Hamby in 2021.

Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Gabe moved to Charleston in 2004. He loves all that the Lowcountry has to offer, especially the beautiful outdoors. When he isn’t busy perfecting cuisine in the Hamby kitchen, Gabe enjoys spending time outside either grilling, smoking meat or taking his dog for a walk.
