Rachel Malecky

Rachel is a native Charlestonian with more than a decade of experience in the food and beverage industry. Her deep local roots and passion for developing people have allowed her to build lasting relationships with vendors and industry professionals while preparing teams to execute events of all sizes and complexities.

Rachel originally joined Team Hamby as an Event Lead and Market at Hamby Sales Associate, gaining hands-on experience with Hamby’s offerings—from grab-and-go favorites and family meals to full-service events. After expanding her event execution experience during several years with another local catering company, she returned to Hamby in 2021 as Staffing Coordinator.

Since returning, Rachel has continued to grow within the company, advancing from Staffing Coordinator to Director of Operations. Today, she oversees both Hamby’s Operations and Sales Departments, working across teams to strengthen communication, develop talent, improve processes, and support the successful planning and execution of every event.

Rachel is especially passionate about cultivating a strong company culture where team members feel connected, supported, and inspired to grow. She also remains focused on Hamby’s continued growth by building relationships and exchanging ideas with catering professionals throughout Charleston and across the country. Her collaborative leadership style and commitment to people, progress and meaningful industry connections help create an exceptional experience for both Team Hamby and its clients.
